Men and the Oscars
Oscars 81st celebration brought out the best in the latest mens fashion from Zegna to Prada, Here are some of the highlights from the previous past winners, with thanks from the Academy’s website:

THE COOLER tux by Ermenegildo Zegna. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor, ALEC BALDWIN looked lean and mean in a single-breasted, peak lapel tuxedo with besom pocket. Reinterpreting the classics, BALDWIN wore a white shirt and black bow tie, and accessorized with a pocket square for a debonair touch.

JAVIER BARDEM was dashing in a navy Prada four-button tuxedo, navy silk tie, and white shirt. The Spanish star won an award for playing a distinctly less stylish character, Anton Chigurh, in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and he dedicated his Oscar to his actress mother Pilar — who was also his date for the evening.
Some magazines have called him “sexiest” and “most stylish”, but no matter what title, he’s a red carpet fashion conversationalist. GEORGE CLOONEY set the record straight about his fashion choices. “I like both Armani and Gucci,” he said. “Does it matter?” His two-button tuxedo was trimmed with satin-edged lapels and worn with white shirt and classic black bow tie. Clooney walked in style all evening and earned an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for SYRIANA.
FINDING NEVERLAND Best Actor nominee, JOHNNY DEPP dressed in Depp original style with a one-button blue custom shawl collar tuxedo. He told OSCAR.com that he had it made by a local tailor. DEPP accessorized with silver chain, cross pin at neck and two-tone shoes. He attended with VANESSA PARADIS who wore vintage Chanel.
MEL GIBSON showed a fashion-forward sensibility and selected a four-button tuxedo by Giorgio Armani for his presenting duties. He kept the look stylish with a white classic collar shirt and black formal necktie.

An Oscar Best Actor nominee for BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, HEATH LEDGER opted for London bespoke and chose a luxurious single-buttoned tuxedo with matte silk peak lapels from Dunhill. The British house began working with Ledger in February for his March red carpet walk. Dunhill’s Martin Nicholls presented several ideas to Ledger, who ultimately chose this waist coat style, accessorized with bow tie and lapel pin. Congratulations on Heaths Winning!!!
