I dare ya to get up and dance. I Triple Dog Dare YA....

Wake Up, It’s Sunday Night

The end of yet another weekend and for those who are younger then I, that could mean a night out of dancing and having fun, maybe even both nights of celebrating. Hell, I know I used to cut a rug every weekend. But alas now, I am more sedentary and of course spend all my free time working on this blog that I hope some of you enjoy every now and then.

I keeping with this theme, I would like to share with you a quick and fun post. This is the backdrop to how this came about;  ’all day I have been running this song in my brain, non stop. For what reason I have no clue’.  But I am sure we have all had a similar experience a few times a year if not more.

The culprit song is Dirty Diana performed by the late King Of Pop: Michael Jackson. I did not hear this song at all today, yet there it was swirling around between my ears until I started to hum it and then sing a few of the lines that I could remember on the way home.

As soon as I got home I immediately pulled it up on You Tube and listened to it. So I wanted to share it with you also by embedding it here. I do hope that it doesn’t get removed, or this post will really suck. A build up for nothing.

But just in case they do remove it from this post, which is very possible, I have added two more great songs from the eighties, that always got people up to dance.

(Those of you who are younger and haven’t danced to them, can go suck an egg. Ya bastids. ) Or better yet, dance to them now. Go get your sister or brother, mom or dad, and get your boogie on!!

ADDENDUM: I was trying to find two back up songs for you to listen to, just in case the first one does become unavailable. I ended up picking out five. I could have easily picked out 50 or 100. Perhaps I will make this a Sunday Night staple. The other four songs are from the 80’s except Mark Morrison’s “Return Of The Mack” I believe that was the early 90’s.

So crank it up and believe me, these will put a smile on your face and get your body a moving. Until tomorrow, Be Well

“DIRTY DIANA” MY FAVORITE MJ SONG

CHAKA CHAN “AIN’T NOBODY’

MARK MORRISON “RETURN OF THE MACK”

EVELYN “CHAMPAGNE” KING “LOVE COME DOWN”
