Hi Tokayo! Come back safe from your jungle trip! Your trip reminds me of my childhood days living in the jungles of Panay Island. That was in 1942-1943, during the Japanese-American War in the Philippines. You probably was not born yet. Again, I am thanking MOB for asking me to guest post on one of my top 15 Favorite blogs. Hi Joella: It is also nice meeting you on-line. I have visited your blog and find it informative. It is in my top ten favorites blogs. Regarding the letters after my name, MOB was correct in stating that I had to work hard in getting these letters, but it does not really mean anything if I do not feel I had contributed to the betterment of mankind. My favorite saying is: You have not really live if you have not touch the lives of others. Take Care!

Hi Steve, thank you for your comment. The Philippines is very popular country as retirement place for Americans, Canadians, and Europeans because of the cheaper standard of living and the warm climate. So, keep in mind the “Philippines” when you are ready to retire. By the way, I visited your blog and you have a very interesting niche and subject. Cheers! David B

This is a very insightful post and really makes on think about the longterm. And the different options that present themselves when you retire. I hadn’t thought about the Philippines as a retirement destination but you’ve made some pretty good points. I must keep it in mind, thanks for sharing!

Hello, Dr.Dave, it’s nice to meet you and a pleasure to get to know a little about you. I have the sad distinction of not having planned for my retirement and now I am both old and poor, but I have lots of love in my life. So I shall always be rich. Thank you for sharing a bit of your story. BTW, all the letters after your name make it seem like you are starting your own alphabet.
