Because of increased demand and traffic it is necessary that we transfer our blog to a larger server yet again. We are hoping that it will not cause any interruption and that the loading and functions of Man Over Board will be even faster for all of our readers. We appreciate your patience and again we are hoping for no downtime at all, but we are talking computers here.
I totally apologize to anyone who has had difficulties these past few days, To say it was easy on this end was/is very trying. I am in the middle of a post, that hopefully will be finished later this evening. It brought home many emotions that went into the last few days.
Not knowing if I was pissing people off or worse yet, taking someone for the first time and losing them for ever. Yes we are bloggers, but we are also people, who do care about what we write and hopefully, even thou we have never net in person. We have become friends.
And in that end I apologize once more, for not having the time, patience nor fortitude to stop by all my favorite blogs and friends to say hello and leave a comment or two. I will be back in action, God willing shortly, Glenn

It loaded really, really slow, but if you are still working on it that could be the reason why. You are right we are talking computers here. Hope this is the fix you need.

Sandee one of the two problems we are having are these. One we installed Intense debate almost a month ago and I did it to make the site more interactive. It is a great application, unfortunately it slowed the load time of the site by double. The second and more critical point is that the last two days we have had over 2000 hits or people coming to MOB and the server bandwidth is getting overwhelmed. Basically we need to upgrade or capacity if we keep growing at this pace. If the new server does not speed up the process right away, I am afraid we will have to go maybe to a faster commenting system. So I ask all of you to please hang in there a few days until we can complete this process. I am afraid sometimes you might need to reload the page to get in the blog, until this change over is complete. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PATIENCE!!!

Not if you saw what my database looks like and I don;t no where to begin, YIKES. But thank you yes growth is good, as long as you can keep everything going correctly.

Thanks Jen, but these are not fun issues, I am now having to learn all about fixing Databases, .htaccess files and I really just want to blog

YAY But my fingers are still crossed, because I have yet to transfer over to the server. The site loads faster because I basically scalped it down to the bare bones as to not disrupt service. But within a week it should be much faster and hopefully no more problems
