People Going Gaga Over This Little Lady
Who the hell is this 23 year old girl from New York City by the name of Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta? OK here’s a few guesses.
- She wrote her first song at age 13 and played the piano by ear at the ripe old age of 4.
- Her musical influences were David Bowie and Madonna.
- She wrote music for Britney Spears, New Kids On The Block and even Fergie.
- Akon was her biggest supporter and influenced Interscope-Geffen-A&M records to sign and record her.
- Her first album sold 3 million copies and had two consecutive number one singles on Billboard Hot 100
- Now a days, you could very well never know who she is, as her fashion, in and of itself is as large as her whirlwind life. her style will surely be repeated on the streets of our children, much like Madonna did in the ’80′s.
OK if you haven’t guessed yet, then here’s an easy clue. Here’s her picture:

If you guessed Jessica Simpson, your not even close? But the next picture will surely give it away. I did pick one where you could actually see her Poker Face. She has been known to cover her face also.
Actually much like Bowie and Madonna, she is destined to be not only a chameleon, but also a trend setter. Like her or not, you can’t miss nor hear one of her songs from clubs to car windows.
She will be appearing this evening on Bravos’ new Designer Show, “Launch My Line“
She has about the same number of people who don’t like her as those who absolutely adore her. One thing for sure is you won’t ever miss her. I for one, love her. Yup this guy heard her well over a year ago on an MTV show called “The Hills” as a bit part in one show.
Now she is the show, from Japan to Germany. My prediction is this: This little dynamo will be around for a long time. You have to give her props, she does as she wants and that is the American Dream.
Thought it would be fun to find a few YouTube clips of her, performing before she made it big. Not the same performer as her concerts show are now. The first clip is actually her in a little known MTV show called” Boiling Point”. If your not sure which one she is, she’s in black and (Spoiler Alert) doesn’t last to make her $100 prize, you receive if you make it to the end of the prank.
The other three are her performing by herself on piano and in a group singing lead to a Led Zeppelin song.

Todd I used to listen to the Bay City Rollers and Mott The Hoople, wear 6 inch platform shoes, with a polyester leisure suit. I looked HOT. OMG can't even imagine what I looked like back then. The 80's we had mullets and hair spray in our rockers heads. The 90's we got to see pointed cones or bras worn over the shirt on our women. So when Bob Dylan wrote Time's they are a changing, he knew what he was writing about. Oh least wee forget our fathers and grand fathers Zoot Suits

I have to thank god I never got the mullet, maybe I thought I could never be as cool as Billy Ray Cyrus was, lol.
I don't get the fascination from most of the new stars and singers. But then again I remember some one hit wonders in my day. I just think Gaga will be one of those who will be around for awhile, she knows how to self promote and that is whats it's all about. She ought to be a blogger huh? Need to read your newest post on the new mindset on how to lose weight.
I don't care for her much, probably because she is so over played and my daughter plays her music all the time, but she does have the pipes and she can certainly create a stir. My son is convinced she is a hermaphrodite.
Yes unfortunately, the radio and pop music always ruin songs for me also. Sometimes I love it when I find a song I absolutely love and no one ever heard it before, especially commercial radio. Then I never get sick of it. I think she is talented and knows how to self promote herself better then anyone I have seen in a long time. And that to me is where her genius lies.

Mott The Hoople? Ah well always loved Bowie and they did a pretty good version of his song 'All The Young Dudes'. Actually thinking about it there's at least one reason why Gaga should do a cover of that particular song lol.

I've heard a lot of the hype but none of her songs. I'll have to watch the clip of her performing. Honestly, I still prefer music from the 70s and 80s. I'm kind of stuck in a musical time warp. Speaking of time warps. One cable station out of the 300 that we own ran Rocky Horror Picture Show last night. I have to say. I enjoyed it more when watching it with a newspaper on my head.

I wanted to add that Lady Gaga is very inspiring. She dares to be different and brings a bit of joy and whimsy in what are otherwise pretty somber times.
My 21 year old daughter likes Lady GaGa, I’ve watched her on television with my daughter. I’ve found Lady GaGa to be very talented, great voice and great songs. As far as her antics, they’re genius, she’s the female version of Marilyn Manson.
Love the GAGA. She makes great dance music and her videos are very creative. She may be over the top for some people, but it’s refreshing to see someone who is not afraid to step out of the box and do her own thing regardless of what people think. Another bonus, she can actually sing and play the piano beautifully.

I thought Lady Gaga was great singing on SNL. It reminded me of old SNL’s gone by when they had really amazing live singers who could really SING.
