I have been one of the few in the nation who has yet to watch Avatar. I finally broke down the other night and watched it and my review is this. Great interaction between real and animation. The story line was predictable, but you have to give props for the imagination of the creators of some of the Avatar creators.

So in keeping in line with that thought, I found this guys Flicker account and you have to just love him. He took many of today’s people in the news and yes, made them into an avatar. Here are a few of my favorites, the rest if you want to view them all can be seen here:  Avatized Pics

  2. Glenn those blue re-do’s are hillarous. glad you don’t have me up there (side-eye) but I have to admit House and Gary Bussey look natural. sheesh and that cat – wow, too real. I could swear I keep hearing that that movie is about the struggle between species on the planet.

    can you please tell me what that movie is about, since every review just says it’s good – but never really tells you what the movie is about, and I am not spending 25. to see it if I don’t have any idea what I’m going to be seeing. sorry it’s just that I like to be mentally prepared. I’m kinda more of a dvd person.

    in fact, do you think I should just wait for the dvd, which will give me more time to find an appropriate pic of me to be blueized ? oh hell no – I have Green eyes. green and blue no wayyyyyy jose.

    Dam, now I’m the only one left who hasn’t seen Avatar. I’ve heard from a couple people at work that they liked it. Love those pics especially the cat.

  4. really cool pics, I have yet to see the film I’m going to go see it in 3d as I heard its really amazing

    • Congrats Adam you just made a milestone for us the 2000 comment. Your prize is in the mal, please disregard the white powdery substance in the envelope, {cough}

  5. I like the cat the very best. Well the popcorn helped a bit too.

    Have a terrific day Glenn. Big hug. :)

  8. We’ve almost gone to see the movie a couple of times, then decided to stay home, drink beer and watch old episodes of Two and a Half Men on DVD. I don’t know why – but I can’t get around the fact that it just looks like a remake of Ferngully to me – and I thought that was kind of boring.

    Must say though – Gary Busey looks less frightening in Blue than he normally would otherwise.

  10. I finally got my ass to see Avatar too, and in 3D. The movie looked stunning, for sure, but yeah, the plot was pretty predictable and coupled with some terrible dialogue. PLUS you get to keep the glasses. To do with what, I do not know.

    Great avataresque pics up there. Love the Kevin Smith one from his airline fat-busting ordeal.

  11. Some impressive avatars!! Haha, I haven’t seen the movie though, is it worth watching?

  12. The Joker is pretty awesome. But they were all really good.
