Top American Celebs Doing Foreign Commercials

Today’s final installment narrows in on our top celebs who did commercials in foreign lands. Not only in print ads, but has you will see below commercials as well. Commercials that would never be done here in the US but they had no problem doing them across the ocean on foreign soil.

For some reason, seeing our top box office idols doing a commercial for tampons or nose drops would be a detriment to their careers here in the US. But in Japan all hairs are let down. Not to mention the big fat paycheck that goes along with their endorsement.

Although, what once was considered taboo for American top performers, now is becoming acceptable. Mainly because of the Internet and it’s ability to hunt down those commercials that were never meant for our eyes.  If you click on the tube now, you will be able to see Robert DeNiro hawking Amex or Catherine Zeta Jones doing her thing with T-Mobile.

Here is an ad done this past December in Australia for CrazyDomains.com.au starring Pam Anderson and I must say rather funny. Of course it is in the realm of Sex Sells and it does as you will see.

The next is America’s sweetheart Jennifer Aniston doing a commercial for the Germans and Heineken.

This is one I am sure the Governator wishes could have somehow been undone. But it’s here and doing what he does best “bad acting”.

Here is one of the hottest actors out there today Leo DiCaprio, This commercial to me is as annoying as the local car dealer who is on every channel 24/7. Speaking of which this is a Honda commercial.

Here’s another of America’s sweethearts doing her thing in Japan. Here we see Meg Ryan uttering the famous slogan, Navi Navi Dingo.

Showing off his multi talented showmanship is what brought John Travolta back from obscurity on more then one occasion. I am sure this “Tokyo Drink” commercial is one of the vehicles that made him a big name in Japan. This one is circa I believe mid ’80′s

It’s hard not to turn on the TV and not see a program somehow related to the funny man Ben Stiller. Seems the Japanese also love Ben and his wacky ways. Here he is endorsing “Kirin” yet another drink.

Here’s our last one, honestly we could be at this all day and night. If this whet your appetite to find out more great artistic foreign commercials, they are littered all over the net.

We couldn’t finish without showing a classic from the “King of Pop” doing what he did best singing and dancing. In this case all over a Suzuki scooter, way before his nose fell out and his skin was scared white.
