It’s Not The Pants Making You Look Fat!
Another great guest post from Yvonne over at the Fitness Diva. Please visit her for more great inspiration and fitness tips.
So, here we are already going into the 3rd month of the year. Damn, where did the time just go? Remember those New Year’s resolutions you made? Well, how’s all that going, by the way? Are you still on the path to reaching your goal, or did you already jump off of the bus?
I say bus instead of, say, train, because accomplishing anything worthwhile is usually a slow, steady process, and just like you do when on a long bus ride, you have to be patient, and find ways to keep yourself pumped up and enthusiastic about your journey.
If you have fallen off already, no worries. Just dust yourself off, and get back on. To motivate yourself, think back on that vision you had at the beginning of the year — you fit, slimmer, in shape and wearing that sexy bikini or Speedo on the beach. You (men) out in the sunshine, working with your shirt off, muscles flexing, body glistening gorgeously, making all the girls just drool at the mere sight of you…. What? That’s not your vision!?? Whoops! Guess that last one is my own little fantasy scenario….hee hee! But still, not a bad picture, eh? I’d sure like to see it!
However, even if becoming this hot, bodaciously bodied dude or babe is not what it’s all about for you, try to remember exactly what your goal was when the ball dropped. Put the picture of that firmly back into your mind. Think of all the things you plan to do, and more importantly what you will be more easily able and wanting to do once you get all that extra weight off like you promised yourself you would.
Envision that amazing, dynamic, kick ass person that you know you can be, and keep your eyes on that prize. Now, reacquaint yourself with what you need to do to reach that destination! Remember, nothing worth accomplishing ever happens quickly or without hard work, consistency and determination. Don’t just let yourself fall off and stay off, laying out in the middle of the road like road kill! Get back up!
The only thing stopping you is you yourself, ya know? And remember, the season where you’ll no longer be able to hide all that fat under sweaters and extra layers of clothing is right around the corner. Make it your business to have absolutely nothing to hide!
Be stricter on yourself, demand better from yourself, and let’s just go ahead and do it this time, okay?
Now, no more excuses! Get back on that bus!!

I think one of the most important things said here is “keep your eyes on that prize”
It’s so easy to lose focus in our busy lives, but yeah, once you get past that first week of working out again, or eating well, or whatever it is you’re doing, it gets easier every day.
I can dream I suppose. I used to look like the girl in the picture. Actually, I looked better, however, I was a lifeguard at the time. You’re body will look crazy sexy if you swim over 20 laps a day and hit the gym.
Wish I was drowning….it would give me a reason to grab on to those knockers for dear life and not let go.
