Free Hugs Anyone?
PS : We know this video is a few months old. But wanted to share it again, because the idea of it all is something that should not be forgotten. Not only do we believe that, but many others do also. It is moving up the Viral Video top 100 again. Thanks for all your great comments and don’t forget to give someone a hug today !!!
Found this gem on by rounds today. Quite simple really. A man with a sign that simply stated “FREE HUGS”. While watching the video I couldn’t believe how one man would fare at giving out free hugs and at the beginning you will see just how he made out.
A simple gesture, in a time when something started by one man, can lead to good things. The hugger is Juan Mann, who was banned from certain places to give out free hugs. Can you believe that? But he did get a shot on who else? Yup, Oprah and with her help, I think we will be seeing more Huggers out there.

Free hugs can be a good thing, but watch your kids and the pedophiles.
Unfortunately that is so true. But a guy in the middle of a populated area with a sign and a video crew, I doubt you would have to worry about your child more then yourself, he he

Sorry Sandee, I don;t know of anyone else having problems, but if they do I will check. I was just doing database work when you left your comment, so maybe that interfered with your comment, Big Hug back at ya
I don’t think that “free hugs” is a bad thing but like anything else there is bound to be someone out there who will have to screw it up.
Of course there is always a few idiots, but hopefully they won;t cause any harm to a good idea.
Well, Mr. Glenn, let me say that I hope this free hugs crap doesn’t spread to the Philippines! My Dad is not a hugger, and the only person who got to hug him was my Mom, and his Mom, my Grandma. I have acquired the hate hug bug from my Dad. Oh, some might just call it being antisocial or grumpy, two adjectives which fit me perfectly.
Oh give it up Dave, come over here and give me a big hug will ya??????
Lol @PuppyJuice but unfortunately they’re right. Like the concept but sometimes people can be so creepy…the last thing you want is a free hug.
I guess as a society we’ve become so suspicious of people “being nice” for no reason except …it’s nice to be nice.

Pretty much. Everyone seems to be watching over their shoulder lol. Seems like most people have their own agenda, so we’re all guarded because we highly doubt anyone is doing something just to be nice.
They could just want to be nice, as I know I don’t mind helping someone at times since being nice can be rewarding. I still would find it hard to believe that most don’t have some sort of sinister plot heh..well maybe less of a plot with a hug :p

I saw this video months ago and I found it to be so touching. Of course, many of us love our personal space, but sometimes you have to let your guard down.

LOL…I have run across this awesome reality check video before. Unfortunately we live in a society that questions any real heart warm felt actions.
Also we have this fear of contracting diseases through body contact which is so unfortunate for us because as you see in this video…everyone that dares to be different and welcomes the free hug…walks away with a real smile~
