This isn’t our first post on the ongoing unemployment problem here in the US and unfortunately it probably won’t be our last, unless something changes and soon. We caught this video online and it is a 3 year view of what has happened to the employed US worker in the past three years. No words are really needed except to repeat Holy Shit!! The press suppresses all the real raw scary data. The question is—How do we change it? This November—November 2012? Who knows. Is the ship just to friggin BIG to turn around?

Holy shit indeed. And the funny thing is just this morning the front page of our local paper had a headline about employment rising. YEAH RIGHT.
Ann we get the same headlines here, but we all know it is nothing but an illusion, you can see it in the faces of people everyday now. We all wait for a little light at the end of the tunnel and there is none.

I think big business is contributing to this recession/depression by not hiring. Keep the profits high, overwork the current employees by consolidating several jobs into one, and not filling the empty slots. A corporate utopia. Btw, I found a job, starting Monday. My husband is still out of work though.
It is indeed very scary. I hope it will turn around soon. Here in California illegal aliens have all the jobs. I’m not kidding.

When u lose your industrial base and export all your jobs to China, this is what happens: Massive unemployment.

Excellent reply and one I agree with unfortunately. Perhaps the Great Ship of America in my opinion, is more then slowly sinking. I believe we are taking on water much faster then people want or care to believe. I don’t see any answers coming from the powers to be, the so called elected representatives.
Our founders understood the human condition and compiled a constitution that was incredibly insightful. One, if they saw how it has been abused and altered might have not given their lives and suffered through inhuman conditions, to see how our under-educated and yes uncaring generations have no sense of urgency to put together a unwaviring committment to make this country work again.
Is the power of the people and for the people completely gone now? Can we pull together and get it back? Or are we on a direct path to total destruction?
