Class Up Your Casual

Today’s guest post comes from  Alessia at Please visit them when you get the chance, they have great clothing and accessories along with a kick ass blog.

Whether you love lounging and staying in, or if you are constantly out and about, it undoubtedly feels good to get dressed up every once in a while. Shave your mountain-man beard, put on some cologne, step out of your sweatpants and look classy- it does a man good.

There is absolutely no reason, however, why a man should be content to look like a partial slob (if not a slob, then someone who is just indifferent to fashion) on a daily basis, when it is so easy to dress up your casual, everyday look!

The basic formula for an ordinary day tends to be a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. The look, while not entirely wretched, does generally give off a slovenly impression. While it is absolutely unnecessary to wear a coat and tails on a daily basis (as you are not a penguin), the more subtle manner in which to class up your day-to-day style is with a basic button-down shirt.

Not every collared shirt has to be what you would wear with a suit. A more casual button-down shirt, such as those produced by ROAR Clothing, are an easy way to incorporate a slightly more refined look to your casual clothing. Shirts by ROAR feature premium fabrics and embroidery, with great colors and patterns. Plaid worked for Clark Kent, why not follow in Superman’s footsteps and embrace the patterned, button-down shirt?

Your everyday clothing should not be mistaken for pajamas. Move away from your disheveled tees and sweat pants and get into a button-down shirt by ROAR to look less like a slob and more like the fashionista that everyone here at Man Over Board knows is buried inside!
