Wikileaks: Where Truth Becomes Treason

Wikileaks

We, like so many other people, from all nations, have been getting some behind the scene glimpses from once top secret documents. These document are now being made available from WikiLeaks.org. The website is being attacked at all ends.” Wikileaks began on Sunday November 28th publishing 251,287 leaked United States embassy cables, the largest set of confidential documents ever to be released into the public domain. The documents will give people around the world an unprecedented insight into US Government foreign activities.

The cables, which date from 1966 up until the end of February this year, contain confidential communications between 274 embassies in countries throughout the world and the State Department in Washington DC. 15,652 of the cables are classified Secret.” from Wikileaks.org

Although not all the documents have been released as of yet, the past few days have created quite the storm of descension  from many governments, colleges and companies. If you Google WikiLeaks, org, you will find their website in the search but when you click on it, their site is not there. Losing their hosting server, dns number from allowing their site to be viewed. It is available by going here: http://213.251.145.96/.

PayPal and Amazon have both pulled their accounts. PayPal was WL’s leading source of revenue. They no longer accept PayPal donations anymore. And here is why. Even the State Dept revealed to Columbia University Students: Do Not Dicuss WL on FaceBook or Twitter. You can read more at the Huffington Post why students should be very weary to engage in such activities.

While we have no idea how long WL will be made viewable, if you go there and peruse their site, you will find documents on China’s distaste for Google Earth high resoution mapping service, Google’s distaste for the harassment that China has given them,  the UK stating that Obama “Is just not that into us”. These are just from the first two pages that we have viewed.

We would love to know your thoughts, both for and against. Hell, MOB could well be gone tomorrow for giving out these links. But as Ron Paul: stated  “In a society where truth becomes treason, we’re in big trouble.”

  1. Lets Tie Joe Lieberman and SayRah Payem together – then shove a few of the top secret cables up their asses and set em alight. I bet we’d get the truth alot quicker using that method ala cheney. besides, who would care. Lieberman’s request to Amazon and Payem’s statements amount to the same hot air as found in a cow pasture. Lieberman has to go. that’s it. I’m calling him OUT,

trust me, if I call em out – they never win again. Joe Lieberman Is OUT; and Sayrah Payem is Dead in the Head so she’s not even a factor in anything.

WikiLeaks is the Only Truth we’ve heard in years apparently, and sadly. Julian Assange is in their sites and if we don’t help to keep the truth flowing we’ll find it will soon stop.

Hope You Got the Insurance Policy – It’s Important

  2. Assange is in it for the money. That’s been cut off for now. Treason is what he should be charged with. These leaks are going to get people killed. Mark my words.

Your first commenter is very angry. Wow, such hate.

Have a terrific day Glenn. Big hug. :)

  3. Have to say that we agree with you both. That the extremes do exist in a very complex world society. While we do not condone the fact these documents have put many lives in danger, we also believe our society was built on openness and disclosure. Of course treason has been with us, since before the constitution.

But the amount that is now being created and circulated today, has increased so dramatically, that we the people, are so far in the dark. The majority of our population believes that some secrets should be held in the strictest if confidence to defend our so called freedoms. But the fact that we the people have no say any longer and the avalanche of secretiveness is beyond what we believe is necessary nor productive, is disturbing

The anger from BadGal, is the end product of this process of keeping us in the blind. While wars can now be declared without a 2/3 majority needed by congress and the powers that have been instituted in the name of homeland security has led to the growing conflict between us the citizens and our elected officials.

Whether Assange is reaping in profits from the disclosure, to us, is not the point. How far will our government continue to take away our basic freedoms under the guise of safeguarding our freedom. From the past weeks of overzealous TSA employees to now the US government being able to shut down websites at will, is eerily becoming akin to regimes from our past enemies of the old Soviet Union and the present Chinese. Not to mention I don’t remember ever being asked to vote over entering conflicts in Iraq nor Afghanistan.

  4. Too bad the Swiss (and other governments) don’t work that hard to shut down the T e r rori st s financing from other countries. You know – the really big threats?

  5. Thanks for sharing this informations.

  6. If you’re not a citizen, you can’t commit treason.

  7. You know I am in the auto shipping business so I don’t have a lot of knowledge about the things on WikiLeaks, but I don’t want to have the knowledge. A lot of peoples lives/livelihoods are on the line with this information. Some things should just be a little bit harder to access than going to the computer and typing in a few words.

  8. By insisting on the prosecution of Julian Assange, politicians have only risked bumping him to cult hero status.

  9. Julian Assange is not citizen of US, not work in US, so I think he doesn’t make any treason to US government. Wikileaks just accept data from another people and just publish them. So, Wikileaks is just like another press, they can not be criminalization. The one that do the crime is someone that take the data from US database.
