It’s almost laughable to watch USA Soccer try to talk people in to caring

about the World Cup in South Africa. Spain (+400) and Brazil (+450) lead the charge in World Cup futures, while England and Argentina are outside shots with +650 and +600 odds to win the FIFA World Cup in 2010. Hell, even Serbia is getting better odds than Team USA’s +7000 odds.

Let’s face facts. Americans only cheer or care for things that they’re good at. The country as a whole prides itself on being the best in the world, and if they’re not great at something then they tend to turn a blind eye. Soccer is that bastard child in the states that the masses haven’t jumped all over because Team USA hasn’t ever advanced past the quarterfinals at the World Cup.

Instead of pumping some much needed money and vigor in to their soccer program, the USA has been too busy building their own sports. Rugby gave birth to American football. Cricket’s the long forgotten great grandfather of America’s favorite past time. Basketball was invented by a Canadian. The USA loves to make things their own, just so they can brag about being the best.

Unfortunately, you can’t reinvent the most popular game in the world. America’s athletes by and large invest themselves in hoops and baseball, leaving soccer to the pansies and nerds. Team USA will boast the best American soccer players on the planet, but that doesn’t mean that we’re showcasing the best American athletes there are.

Rarely does a team for the states endear itself to the fans unless they have marquee guys on the roster. Soccer nuts are very familiar with the thrilling footwork of Jozy Altirodore. The media will probably harp on the relationship of father/coach Bob Bradley and his son/player Michael Bradley.

Still, Landon Donavan has been the face of American soccer for as long as I can remember. Actually, I can’t even remember who Landon’ took the mantle from. He’s a superb athlete and a dynamo on the field, and as a soccer fan I certainly appreciates what he can do. Every casual sports fan has heard of Landon Donovan, and Team USA continues to build their image around his All-American good looks.

No matter how good Team USA is on paper, it’s going to take some massive upsets for this soccer team to get noticed by the mainstream. The chance will be there when the U.S. meets England in their first test in South Africa, and if they pass that gauntlet with any grade higher than an “F-minus” then that will be a win. Just don’t expect the country to be excited about it.

Naomi Campbell is not only losing hair, but we also think her mind, as you will see below and the video with her appearance on Oprah. She has been subpoenaed for accepting a Blood Diamond from an African Warlord. Campbell never known to be Ms Congeniality is in fact wearing the crown for being the biggest diva-bitches in Britain today.

Now new photos are surfacing showing that maybe karma is starting to bite her on her curvaceous ass. Seems her hair is falling out at a disturbing rate. It is hard to be sympathetic to someone who not only treats the people around her like sub human servants. But she is enjoying some shiny rocks that came from the blood of people forced to mine these stones with AK’s pointed at them.

Prosecutors at an international war crimes trial have asked the judges to subpoena supermodel Naomi Campbell to testify about whether she received a ‘blood diamond’ from an African warlord.
The request comes after the attorney for Campbell’s former modeling agent saw an ABC News report on allegations that Campbell had received a ‘blood diamond’ from former Liberian president Charles Taylor. The modeling agent, Carole White, has now given a statement to prosecutors saying that she witnessed several men giving Campbell a “half dozen” uncut diamonds.
Campbell has previously declined to testify in the case, which is being tried at the Special Court for Sierra Leone in the Netherlands. Prosecutors have asked the judges to subpoena Campbell, and to call Carole White and actress Mia Farrow as witnesses.
In her statement, White, who was Campbell’s modeling agent from 1992 to 2007, claims that she saw men working for Taylor giving Campbell the uncut stones after a dinner at Nelson Mandela’s house in South Africa in 1997. Taylor is on trial for allegedly fomenting a bloody rebellion in neighboring Sierra Leone, and using uncut diamonds to pay for weapons that he allegedly provided to the rebels. ABC News

Our distinguished ex first lady makes this week MOBBION. While on official business in the Philippines. It seems that Bills wife, the  U.S. Secretary of State got a first hand lesson on what it is to be a MILF.

Clinton discovered as much Friday as she fielded questions about the Moro Islamic Liberation Front during a town hall-style gathering in Manila.

Questioned repeatedly about peace efforts with the MILF in the southern Philippines, Clinton struggled with how to speak the acronym.

“I’m encouraged by what I hear about the progress in the peace efforts that are going on between the government and MILF’s,” Clinton said, pronouncing it like a word — the same way as the acronym for a popular hot mom’s phrase.

Then she switched and adopted the local usage — saying the letters individually. M – I- L- F

The next feel good story takes place in South Africa, where last week a group of bikini clad women gathered together to help raise funds for Breast Cancer.

MOB always the leader in helping with good causes would also like to take advantage, be a part of raising awareness to the great cause.

Hundreds of bikini clad women descend on Johannesburg to participate in a bid to break the world record for the largest bikini parade and raise breast cancer awareness. Yes a Twofer.

Finally this is an actual clip of a TV host from another country, I believe it is in Dutch or German. Regardless what language it is, I have yet to make it through this video without laughing.
